17-year-old, only son of the family, died after being shot in the back near Falake Panjom (Fifth Square) in Fardis, Karaj. He had left school to work in advertising companies, construction sites, and day-labor jobs to support his family, and used part of his income to buy food for working children. His mother had asked him not to go outside; he responded that his blood was no different from others who had gone before. The family was later informed he had been taken to a clinic, where they found his lifeless body; several other bodies had reportedly been brought to the same medical center at that time. His body was kept at home until morning and then transferred to Beheshte Sakineh cemetery. The family said they were not permitted to bury him for five days.
