After her death, government institutions and affiliated media tried to confiscate her body and name for their benefit because she wore hijab, but her family resisted this distortion. Her body was returned to the family after three days, after receiving money, applying pressure and obtaining a commitment not to hold a ceremony. The death certificate falsely recorded the cause of death as 'collision with agricultural machinery'.
